Utsa essay prompts

While there is no required test score, GPA or class rank, the average honors freshman is in the top 8% and has a 1300 SAT or 28 ACT. Invitation letters and reservation forms are mailed to each student’s UTSA admission email on a rolling basis between November and February of each year.

(UTSA accepts transcripts through Electronic Parchment, E-Script PDF and Naviance.) Submit your SAT or ACT test scores directly from the testing agency. Please note: test score requirements are suspended for all applications through Spring 2022, but submission is encouraged where possible.

All documentation must be submitted by the admission deadline (not postmarked). An admission decision is not rendered until the applicant’s file is complete. You’ll be notified when UTSA receives your ApplyTexas application and you’ll be given a myUTSA ID so you can check on your admission status.

For applicants whose high school transcript does not present a rank, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will assign a rank. Test Scores: Test scores must be submitted from the testing agency. UTSA’s code for ACT is 4239. UTSA’s code for SAT is 6919.
